Successful mold remediation involves killing mold at its roots. Before mold remediation can begin, any sources of water or moisture must be addressed. Otherwise, the mold may return. We sometimes see people try and remediate their own mold by themselves. The law doesn’t prohibit you as a building or home owner to try and remediate it yourself, but as professional mold remediators we urge you to hire a professional, as if it isn’t handled right the first time, then the mold will keep coming back. You can also put yourself at risk without using property respirators.
Florida law requires that a mold remediator be licensed. Our teams are trained to do the job properly and safely. We wear protective clothing and equipment while performing mold remediation.
Our Professionals will come and assess your building or home to determine the job perspective, give you a detailed estimate and give you answers to all of your questions. We realize that this is not a positive experience, but we want to be able to give you the peace of mind that the job will be done quickly and professionally.
The first thing we will be doing is containing the mold to prevent any further spreading. Your HVAC system will be turned off while this is being done. Our specialized filtration equipment will be brought into the building or home. These are air scrubbers that keep the mold from spreading while we are remediating.
Our Technicians will be wearing protective clothing and equipment; filter masks, respirators, goggles, gloves and protective, disposable clothing. Depending on the severity of the mold we will remove all physical items from the area; sometimes this includes the drywall, carpeting and furnishings. These will be bagged and closed tightly for disposal.
Our remediation cleanup will include capturing the air by a filtration device and using HEPA (High Efficiency Particulate Air) vacuums. Using negative pressure air machines removes the contaminated air from the area and limits the spread of the contaminants.
We clean all surfaces using special fungicides that contain antimicrobial growth ingredients.
After our remediation we suggest using an independent third party testing company to determine the success of our process, as we want you to feel secure in knowing you are mold free.
